Welcome to Trondheim microbrewery.

Trondheim microbrewery opened its doors for the first time on December 4th 1998, as the second brewery pub which was established in this country.

Brewing beer in small amounts, for serving in the pub is a phenomenon that has become popular on every continent over the last 15-20 years. Beer lovers worldwide is tired of the large industrial breweries with its strict profit claims and is constantly forced to cut back on the quality and quantity of the ingredients that gives the beer its good taste - hops and malt.

Micro Breweries, however, has little to gain from saving a couple of kroners on a liter of beer if the consequence is to brew beer of less quality. The idea behind a microbrewery is to brew a large range of tasty beer of the highest quality.

In line with this philosophy, Trondheim microbrewery use only the best ingredients. We get malts from the same Scottish farmers, supplying malt to Scotland's famous malt whiskey distilleries. We buy the hops from the most reputable hops farms in the Czech Republic, Germany, England, New Zealand and the United States.

All the beer we serve is brewed at Trondhjem Microbrewery. If you are lucky, you can watch our brewer in action, working around the brew kettles in the back of the room. Should you have any questions about the brewing process, just to turn to him, or one of our experts in the bar.

We are proud of the brewery tradition we represent. We hope that you will also appreciate the taste rich quality beers, and one thing is certain: It will be difficult to get beer, fresher than ours.
